For all claims issued after 31 December 2020, the common law rules apply.
The common law rules are soon to be clarified by the Supreme Court in the case of Brownlie. Watch this space!
Service must now be effected on the Defendant or nominated solicitors.
Service on UK handling agents is defective and will be set aside/claims struck out.
